Thayer Sarrano - The Mad Mackerel

August 18, 2015 (Tuesday) - Many thanks to U.K.-based The Mad Mackerel for highlighting a new track from the forthcoming album -- Shaky -- by Thayer Sarrano -- or Serrano, as the author styles it. (We are quite accustomed to it by now.) To paraphrase the Bard of Stratford-Upon-Avon: "A music by any other name would rock just as masterfully." You may recall that the Mad Mackerel weighed in on "Crease"" back on June 9, 2015. We certainly do. Now the term "masterpiece" is aptly applied to "Touch My Face." We very much like this term -- "masterpiece." Another favorite of ours is "chef-d'œuvre," which we use when we find ourselves on the other side of the Channel. Sometimes, we use "œuvre capitale," for variety's sake.

Thayer Sarrano - Radio Phoenix
Radio Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

August 17, 2015 (Monday) - Our sincere thanks to the kind people of Radio Phoenix out in Arizona. This morning they unveiled the title track "Shaky" from the new album by Thayer Sarrano -- due out August 28, 2015. Radio Phoenix left us a nice paper trail of this fact over on their Twitter Feed, just like the good folks of CHIRP Radio do, making it possible for us to share these welcomed tidings here. Thank you!

Thayer Sarrano - CHIRP Radio
CHIRP Radio (Chicago, IL)

August 17, 2015 (Monday) - The good DJs of CHIRP - Chicago Independent Radio Project continued across the weekend to play various tracks from the forthcoming new album -- Shaky -- by Thayer Sarrano. We wish to thank Scott McKenna, Mike Bennett, Joe Held, Matty O, and Clarence Ewing for this. Perhaps most pleasing is that these Sages of the Turntable have been giving attention to some of the tracks that were not "earmarked" as immediate singles, songs such as "Thieves," "Aim," and "Lost Art." Sooner or later the world will know what we here at Guildwater have known all along: Thayer's album is solid from start to finish, filler begone. Thanks again, CHIRP Radio, for spreading the message! Addendum: We must note that Mike Bennett played Thayer's "Shaky" near to a song by Charlie Rich. It is good to know that the Silver Fox still finds his way to the airwaves in this day and age, and is not kept "Behind Closed Doors."

Thayer Sarrano - The Autumn Roses

August 14, 2015 (Friday) - Defying the seasons, even in sweltering August, the perennial (but somehow always autumnal) support of The Autumn Roses for the music of Thayer Sarrano continues, for which we thank them mightily. Their finely-woven prose now greets the unveiling of the fuzz-excursion that is "Touch My Face." We would provide quotes, but, in this particular case, we'd much rather you sample the appetizer below, and then click onward, paying visit to their site directly. Dissatisfied? Fine. Here's a snippet: "...the melodies stream through branches thick and intricately intertwined like blazing starlight...." Smooth. Click ==› The Autumn Roses.
