THAYER SARRANO
(Video Release)

Thayer Sarrano - The Autumn Roses

September 11, 2015 (Friday) - It is no exaggeration. We are most grateful for the perennial (yet eternally autumnal) support of The Autumn Roses for the music of Thayer Sarrano. Generous attention was granted previously to "Crease" (July) and "Touch My Face" (August), tracks from what was, then, the forthcoming album known as -- Shaky. Now the album is officially out of the bag, and the first traces of fall weather are (thankfully) in the air. The Autumn Roses bloom again, deftly scooping up the video release of both "Crease" and "Shaky."

Fine Quotation: "The visuals for the breathtaking “Shaky” burn with a disarming, dreamlike elegance, while the clip for the mirage-like “Crease”, directed by Abel Klainbaum and Ms. Sarrano herself, resonates with a dusky and natural menace." Consider visiting the Tumblr of The Autumn Roses. We are rather Thayer-centric here, even we must admit. But there you will find a wide array of new music from numerous artists. Their tagline: "Songs. All we care about are songs." Generous thanks to The Autumn Roses.

Thayer Sarrano - The Joy of Violent Movement

September 11, 2015 (Friday) - We greatly appreciate William Ruben Helms of The Joy of Violent Movement for the thoughtful consideration that he has given to the new album -- Shaky -- from Thayer Sarrano. Helms previously covered the cut "Touch My Face" back on August 29th. He now turns pen towards the freshly-released video -- "Shaky" -- for the album's title-track. Helms summarizes the film as "cinematic," "haunting and absolutely gorgeous." Of the music itself, and the story told therein, here is a Helms Quotation: "Despite the sense of damnation and woe within the song, there’s a sense of facing it with a sense of faith, resolve and determination, as though the narrator of the song will commit themselves to submitting to their fate, and to an omnipotent power, and as a result it evokes a sound that attempts to reach out heavenward from the muck and grime." We thank you, Mr. Helms, for the generous and thoughtful press. We are rather Thayer-centric here. We plead guilty. But consider visiting The Joy of Violent Movement, where more wide-ranging attention is offered to "Independent Music with an International Focus," gliding smoothly from Sarrano to Coltrane.

Thayer Sarrano - Shaky

September 10, 2015 (Thursday) - We shared a photo link from T. Hardy Morris of Dangerbird Records. The occasion was the release of Shaky. T. Hardy Morris wrote the following: "Many of you know my pal Thayer Sarrano as the unmistakable female voice throughout the Audition Tapes album. Well, she has a brand new album of her own out NOW!! Shaky is available everywhere digital + physical at thayersarrano.com! Get the good stuff." Many thanks to T. Hardy Morris for helping spread word of the album's release. T. Hardy's videos for the "Places in Peril" sequence of his Audition Tapes were among our very first introductions to the gifts of Thayer Sarrano, as well as his own top-flight songwriting. We have many favorite videos from that sequence, but may we suggest "Disaster Proof."

Thayer Sarrano - Magnet Magazine

September 09, 2015 (Wedneday) - New Music Video from Thayer Sarrano! Click to give a look and listen to "Shaky," the title track from the new album by Thayer Sarrano. We thank the generous spotlight emanating from the good people of MAGNET Magazine, straight out of Philadelphia, as they pull back the red velvet curtain on this one. They previously featured Thayer's songs "Crease" and "Touch My Face." The Illuminati over at Dominar Films handcrafted this 4K video from start to finish: Directors Benjamin Roberds and Jordan St. Martin-Reyes, and Producer Katie Gregg. The Guildwater Group would like to thank Magnet Magazine for their consistent and kind attention; Dominar for their inspired and illumined craftwork; and Thayer Sarrano herself for her always enchanted performance, song, and album that are all entitled Shaky.

Thayer Sarrano - Dominar Films

September 09, 2015 (Wedneday) - Take the Illuminati over at Dominar Films, and combine them with the ethereality of the music of Thayer Sarrano, and you get a video for sages and (all) the ages. The Cognoscenti of the Guildwater Group would like to thank Thayer and Dominar for their inspiration, patience, and professionalism, by Dominar we mean the triumvirate of: Directors Benjamin Roberds and Jordan St. Martin-Reyes, and Producer Katie Gregg. Below are photos from the various shoots for the making of the "Shaky" video. The last image of Thayer staring intimidatingly at the Red One Camera is one of several all-time favorites around the water cooler at the Guildwater Office Suite. If you look closely, you will notice that the Red One is trembling like a leaf, wilting like a hothouse flower.

Thayer Sarrano - Slug Magazine

September 09, 2015 (Wedneday) - We of the Guildwater Group appreciate the review offered by Kathy Zhou in SLUG Magazine, an acronym for "Salt Lake UnderGround," as in Utah. Of Thayer Sarrano's new album -- Shaky -- Zhou summarizes that the record "is Southern gothic at its finest and most bewitching, and Sarrano is exquisite as she uncovers and releases, one by one, the ghosts and stories we’ve left handcuffed under floorboards." Thank you, Kathy Zhou. Thank you, SLUG, for the fine attention given to this new release.

Thayer Sarrano - Magnet Magazine

September 04, 2015 (Friday) - We greatly appreciate Magnet Magazine, who, going into the Labor Day weekend, featured the song "Touch My Face," from the new album -- Shaky -- by Thayer Sarrano. It is available for free download for a limited time only. According to Magnet, it is "a towering track that hovers and moves like a storm cloud." We agree with (and thank you for) your insight and acumen!

Thayer Sarrano - CHIRP Radio
CHIRP Radio (Chicago, IL)

September 04, 2015 (Friday) - As always, we would like to thank the good DJs of CHIRP - Chicago Independent Radio Project, who have consistently (and from the beginning) supported the new album -- Shaky -- by Thayer Sarrano. We follow their Twitter Playlist (@CHIRPPlaylist) with relish. We would particularly like to thank DJ Stevo, who has an uncanny knack of situating Thayer's music near to other songs that interest us. On 8/28, he played Thayer's "Lost Art" in close juxtaposition to "Black Crow King," by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, a favorite artist of Thayer Sarrano (we don't know about her preference (or not) for that particular song). On 8/21, he played "Aim" near to "Three Imaginary Boys," by the The Cure, a Guildwater favorite. On 8/18, DJ Stevo again spun "Lost Art," this time near to "Koka Kola," by the Clash, another Guildwater favorite. Curiously, we had recently discussed that very Clash track with someone of our broader team via e-mail. Uncanny! Paranormal even! Thanks equally to all the other CHIRP DJs who have given attention to Thayer's new album across August and now into September: Tony Breed, Shawn Campbell, Patrick Seymmour, and Superfrye. We appreciate your support! Hopefully we didn't miss anyone!

Thayer Sarrano - Indiephonyx
