Shaky Tour: East Coast 2015 —

THAYER SARRANO
(Shaky Tour)

Thayer Sarrano - Shaky Tour
East Coast 1.0 Tour Poster (2015)

October 13, 2015 (Tuesday) - The first leg of the Shaky Tour is in the books: East Coast 2015 or East Coast Version 1.0. All told, if one includes the performance at the Cox Capitol Theatre in Macon, Georgia on August 20th -- not indicated on the poster above -- Thayer Sarrano's ensemble featured a wealth of different musicians: Seth Hendershot (drums), William T. Kissane (drums), Bubba McDonald (bass), Zack Milster (bass), Dan Nettles (guitar), Thayer Sarrano (vox, keys, guitar), and John Watkins (keys). (We believe that is everyone.) Together they played, by our count, 17 different performances in seven different states. They trekked 3,672 miles. They drove a grand total of 59 hours and 52 minutes, by low estimates, assuming no traffic or toll booths. We have included below the dates and venues, because the original itinerary shifted from the one first indicated on the tour poster above, when it was released.

08/20 - Cox Capitol Theatre (Macon, GA)
09/17 - Sky City (Augusta, GA)
09/18 - Seney-Stovall Chapel (Athens, GA)

THAYER SARRANO
(CMJ Music Marathon)

Thayer Sarrano - CMJ

October 13, 2015 (Tuesday) - Thayer Sarrano and her trio featuring William T. Kissane (drums) and Zack Milster (bass) perform this evening at Fat Baby, located on Rivington Street, between the East Village and the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This peformance is part of the 34th annual CMJ Music Marathon, sponsored, of course, by CMJ (The College Media Journal). Established in 1978, this esteemed music trade outlet represents a critical hub of the music industry. It is quite an honor to be invited to participate and perform in this event. Congratulations to Thayer Sarrano and her fellow musicians.

We are also pleased to point out, once more, that the title track -- "Shaky" -- from the new album by Thayer Sarrano made the cut on the CMJ "Mixtape" for the month of October. This is a fine prelude to her CMJ Marathon performance tonight at Fat Baby. Thanks to CMJ for the inclusion, in both the Marathon and the Mixtape. Thanks also to Team Clermont for setting things up.

Tiny Montgomery (Threes Brewing)

October 10, 2015 (Saturday) - As a crucial part of a series of three performances in the New York area, Thayer Sarrano and her trio -- William T. Kissane (drums) and Zack Milster (bass) -- will play this evening at the Tiny Montgomery, within the larger complext of Threes Brewing, located on Douglas Street, in Brooklyn. One could say that -- upon arriving in the state and city of New York -- the Shaky Tour has achieved its ultimate destination (for this leg), all with the purpose of performing at the annual CMJ Music Marathon Showcase, early next week, on Tuesday, October 13th.

Thayer Sarrano - Shaky Tour (East Coast 1.0)

October 09, 2015 (Friday) - The Shaky Tour has arrived at its ultimate destination for this leg -- the state and city of New York -- all for the purpose of playing at the annual CMJ Music Showcase. As an important part of a series of three performances in the region, Thayer Sarrano and her trio featuring William T. Kissane (drums) and Zack Milster (bass) play this evening at the Rockwood Music Hall on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

THAYER SARRANO
(Alexandria, VA)

Thayer Sarrano - Shaky Tour (East Coast 1.0)
Evening Star (Alexandria, VA)

October 08, 2015 (Thursday) - It is a sad day in Poughkeepsie, in the state of New York, away from which a Sarrano Show, scheduled for the Student Union of Vassar College, was relocated. It is a good day in Alexandria (in Virginia, not Egypt, although it might be a good day there, too, for different reasons). There in Virginia the Chapel Roadshow is rerouted for tonight, and slated for 8 pm. Thanks to the Evening Star for welcoming into its halls the Shaky Tour of Thayer Sarrano on such short notice. Evidence keeps building as to why it is important to stay tuned to Thayer Sarrano's Concert Ledger. This is your best resource for staying informed as to her tour whereabouts.

THAYER SARRANO
(Charlottesville, VA)

The Garage (Charlottesville, VA)

October 06, 2015 (Tuesday) - The Shaky Tour of Thayer Sarrano visits a rather unique venue space today, located in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Garage lives up to its very name -- see above their Twitter Avatar. The Garage is self-described as: "an art space / concert venue / amateur film theater / impromptu studio / potluck dining hall / etc., located on 1st Street across from Lee Park." The venue features stadium seating -- the audience gathers outside, on the hillsides of Lee Park. Other acts performing this evening include: Sam Moss, a singer-songwriter based out of Boston. Joining Thayer Sarrano on stage at The Garage will be William T. Kissane (drums) and Zack Milster (bass).

Thayer Sarrano - CMJ

October 06, 2015 (Tuesday) - More than pleased. The title track -- "Shaky" -- from the new album by Thayer Sarrano finds itself on the CMJ "Mixtape" for the month of October. This is a fine prelude to Thayer's upcoming CMJ Showcase performance at Fat Baby in New York City -- 13 October 2015 -- which is a change of venue from the original Lit Lounge. More evidence of why it is important to stay tuned to Thayer Sarrano's Concert Ledger. This is your best resource. On a secondary level, consider the "Concerts" and "Events" section of her Facebook Page. Thanks to CMJ for the inclusion, and to Team Clermont for arranging it all. (If you are not a CMJ subscriber, you will have to wait a few more days to download, or you can "like" CMJ on Facebook, to speed up your "Mixtape" access.)

THAYER SARRANO
(Raleigh, NC)

Thayer Sarrano - Shaky Tour (East Coast 1.0)
Slim's Downtown (Raleigh, NC)

October 03, 2015 (Saturday) - Plans do change, when on the road. Unforeseen, the Shaky Tour of Thayer Sarrano lands this evening at Slim's Downtown in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a result of some last minute schedule switching. This is an indication of why it is important to stay tuned to Thayer Sarrano's Concert Ledger, situated within her own website. This is your best resource. On a secondary level, consider the "Concerts" and "Events" section of her Facebook Page. Many thanks to Slim's Downtown for welcoming Thayer Sarrano into their halls, and onto their stage, on such short notice.

Soundbox Tavern (Simpsonville, SC)

October 02, 2015 (Friday) - Thanks to Greg Slattery of Stereofly Magazine -- "a publication highlighting the music and culture of the Southeast" -- for supporting the music of Thayer Sarrano in general, and for masterminding some recent shows in the broader region, including the one noted above, taking place today, in the undulant Piedmont of northwestern South Carolina. Other bands performing this evening include: Brother Oliver of nearby Greenville, as well as She Returns from War and Brian Robert, two artists signed to 10 Foot Woody Records, based in Columbia, South Carolina -- home to Papa Jazz Record Shoppe.

The Nest (Gastonia, NC)

October 01, 2015 (Thursday) - The Shaky Tour Van swings out to Gastonia, the mere throw of a stone outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. Tonight, for one night only, The Nest offers up its stage in sacrifice to Thayer Sarrano and her fuzz excursion. This includes this evening William T. Kissane (drums) and Zack Milster (bass). Together they aim to quake the platform in support of Thayer's new LP -- Shaky. The Nest is part of the larger complex of Songbirds Studios, which offers piano lessons, summer camps, and birthday parties for the lovers of music in Gastonia and the outlying areas.

Thayer Sarrano - Flagpole Magazine
Flagpole Magazine (Athens, GA)

October 01, 2015 (Thursday) - The Guildwater Group would like to thank Nathan Kerce of Flagpole Magazine for the fine review of the new album -- Shaky -- by Thayer Sarrano. Kerce Quotation: "Wrapped in layers of ethereal sound with obscured vocals and booming instrumentals that slowly drift off into an empty void, Shaky is the most unique and cutting of Thayer Sarrano’s releases to date." Thank you, Mr. Kerce. Thank you, Flagpole Magazine.

FIVE FINGERTIPS
(Press Announcement)

Five Fingertips - Neufutur Magazine

October 01, 2015 (Thursday) - A Special Bulletin from the Guildwater Group: "We would like to thank Dr. James McQuiston for his generous review of the new Five Fingertips album, as featured in Neufutur Magazine. Quotation: "The interplay between the vocal and instrumental efforts during "The Blue Cliff Record" pushes each into the stratosphere." Another quote, this time regarding the song "The Poster Children": "The shuffling and trippy sound established by this single is wholly unique amongst the album’s run time, and the inclusion of such a different song may just provide listeners with some sense of where Five Fingertips will go on follow-up releases." Thank you, from the Guildwater Group, to NeuFutur Magazine."
