THAYER SARRANO
(Seattle, WA)

Thayer Sarrano at Tractor Tavern

February 24, 2019 (Sunday) - It's Seattle, Washington. The stage is the fabled Tractor Tavern, which Thayer Sarrano last played in December, 2015. Tonight's show is in support of the illustrious "King of Mosey" -- Daniel Romano, and is part of the radio series The Roadhouse on KEXP, hosted by Greg Vandy. The Roadhouse "is a roots program emphasizing the blues and other traditional styles of American music." We are happy to see the "murk rock"™ of Thayer Sarrano find a place beneath that broader roots rubric. (We coin here a new musical genre -- murk -- based on the recent Sarrano interview with FemMusic.com, which is to say that we didn't actually coin it at all; she did.) KEXP is, of course, "one of the most influential listener-supported radio stations in the world."

Thayer Sarrano - The Roadhouse on KEXP (Seattle, WA)

The KEXP / Tractor Tavern radio stage represents a fine culmination to this leg of the Tour of the West. Beyond here, the "murk rock" of Thayer Sarrano and the "mosey" of Daniel Romano now part tour company. We sincerely thank the Romano camp for offering Sarrano the opportunity to participate. In parting, and as promised, we would point our readers towards an interview that we ourselves encountered back in 2015, when we were brand new to the music scene, wherein we learned of Mr. Romano. Rather than attempt to define the genre of "mosey" ourselves, we will leave that to the king himself, as presented to Southern Souls. Enjoy, and safe travels.
