November 30, 2017 (Thursday) - As noted, Thayer Sarrano performs live at Antone's tonight, in support of the illustrious Nicole Atkins. To commemorate the launch of this Western Tour, and the return of Sarrano to Texas, we wish to take this opportunity to thank the good people of Luck Reunion. Thayer Sarrano last ventured into the city limits of Austin earlier this year of 2017, offering a series of shows in March, which figured as part of the broader South by Southwest Festival (SXSW). That same week, in that same state -- Texas -- Sarrano was especially honored, invited by Luck Reunion to perform at Willie Nelson's Pedernales Studio, for the much-revered Luck Sessions series, as sponsored in this instance by Mountain Valley Spring Water. Sarrano performed "Witness," a song from her 2012 album -- Lift Your Eyes to the Hills. Providing vocal accompaniment was Owen Beverly, who is Indianola, and guitarist for Oh Land. The Luck Reunion Crew -- all stars in their own right -- captured the performance on video. The stated goal of Luck Reunion, an annual festival hosted on Willie Nelson's ranch, "is to attract musicians, artisans, and chefs, who, like the outlaws and outliers before them, follow their dreams without compromise." With such a credo, it is no wonder that the renegades of Third Man Records have partnered with Luck on a growing variety of video projects, including a Luck Mansion Series in Nashville.

Figuring among the larger Luck Reunion crew is that talented lens-man, whom our readership must surely recognize by now, from the "Thieves" video of Thayer Sarrano -- the man behind the camera, the man behind Curtis Wayne Millard Studio. Feast your eyes upon the Sarrano Luck clip above, and then mosey on over to the Luck Reunion YouTube Channel. Subscribe without hesitation, and enjoy performances from a spate of artists supreme. More than a few Grammy-winners, both present and future, figure among their number, proceeding alphabetically: Rayland Baxter, Paul Cauthen, Kasey Chambers, Rodney Crowell, The Deslondes, Kam Franklin of The Suffers, Gold Star, Joshua Hedley, Lilly Hiatt, Horse Thief, Sarah Jarosz, Dylan LeBlanc, Parker Milsap, Margo Price, Amanda Shires, Erin Rae, David Ramirez, Ranky Tanky, Thayer Sarrano, Red Shahan, Langhorne Slim, Aaron Lee Tasjan, The Texas Gentlemen, Valley Queen, and John Paul White.

November 14, 2017 (Tuesday) - Tonight at The Cobra in Nashville, Tennessee, a venue whose very location dates back to the 1950s, Thayer Sarrano performs live. This Sarrano set is in support of Shilpa Ray of Brooklyn (NYC). Shilpa Ray has previously released albums and EPs under either the Knitting Factory Records or Bad Seed, LTD imprint. (Knitting Factory Records is responsible for helping you to round out your Fela Kuti discography. Send them your "thank you" card yesterday. It's overdue.) More recent Shilpa Ray releases -- Last Year's Savage (2015) and Door Girl (2017) -- bear the stamp of Northern Spy. Also performing this evening will be Nashville's own Microwave Mountain, constituted by Brennan Allen, Buffalo Barnes, Pat Boyer, Jordan Roachfort, and Jamie Timm. Their debut LP -- Shades Up -- was made available to the public in 2015. Regarding Thayer Sarrano, she has three albums to her credit: Shaky (2015), Lift Your Eyes to the Hills (2012), and King (2009).
