(Shaky Album Announcement)
August 06, 2015 (Thursday) - We share this on our desk kind courtesy of Campout Featuring Camper Van Beethoven & Cracker. Quote: "FEATURED PERFORMER: Thayer Sarrano. Those in the know from Athens, GA, to Spain know that Thayer is a compelling artist. Cracker Crumbs may have been introduced to her due to her part in the "Georgia Crackers" and her work on Berkeley to Bakersfield (429 Records). Her solo album Shaky drops August 28 -- bet she'll have copies at Campout."
This California Festival -- this is its 11th iteration -- will also feature performances from Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, The Whiskey Gentry, and many others. Thayer has slated her official album release to coincide with these broader festivities and her own performance there. The Seney-Stovall Show -- scheduled for September 18, 2015 -- represents the more localized, Athenian unveiling. Many thanks to the Cracker and Camper Camp for providing such a springboard.

("Crease" Single Release)
August 04, 2015 (Tuesday) - Thanks to Russell Rockwell of Immersive Atlanta for featuring the song "Crease" by Thayer Sarrano. The new album -- Shaky -- drops August 28, 2015. Pre-Orders available now. Rockwell Quote: "Within the first few guitar chords, Sarrano weaves the listener into a dark, intimate web. The insistent floor tom echoes like a battle call to a war long over, and she howls and whispers throughout the ominously beautiful soundscape. ...However, instead of wallowing in the bitterness of destruction, she finds peace in the emptiness." Thanks for the time and space -- Immersive Atlanta. Thanks for the thoughtful description.

("Crease" Single Release)
July 27, 2015 (Monday) - Thanks to Luis Alberto Gonzalez of Decireves blog y revista for shining a light on "Crease" from Thayer Sarrano. This photograph -- featured by Decireves -- derives from an article by Transistor Six about T. Hardy Morris (Dangerbird Records) and the release of his Audition Tapes, a sonic venture which included vocal and instrumental contributions from Thayer Sarrano. There are several great videos from the "Places in Peril" sequence of the Audition Tapes. May we suggest "Disaster Proof."
(Cracker on Tour)
July 24, 2015 (Friday) - The Boys (David, Johnny, Bryan, Pistol, Carlton) and the Girl (Thayer Sarrano) -- we hope we didn't omit anyone -- are currently rumbling, rambling, barreling their way across the country, the Midwest at present, in support of their double album -- Berkeley to Bakersfield (429 Records). We are partial to this particular show, because Thayer Sarrano will herself open the ceremonies, the proceedings, with her own set of original music, at Shank Hall. If you are a local denizen, you might consider catching some "Glimpses" of her forthcoming album -- Shaky. Many thanks to Cracker for providing such a buoyant springboard for the Shaky release. Pictured above you find Cracker, left to right: Johnny Hickmann, Matt "Pistol" Stoessel, David Lowery, Bryan Howard, Carlton Owens (partially obstructed). This fine photograph was used across much of 2015 for Cracker's Facebook Event Page.
