Thayer Sarrano - Balcony TV

December 01, 2015 (Tuesday) - Balcony TV recently released a live rendition of "Crease" by Thayer Sarrano, a song from her album Shaky. First established in 2006, Balcony TV set out to capture the live performances of local musicians in Dublin, as first filmed on the humble balcony of three Irish roommates. From such modest beginnings, Balcony TV moved beyond the confines of the Emerald Isle, establishing basecamps in 50 different cities and locales worldwide, places of vibrant local music communities. This includes a place called Nashville, where, apparently, musicians like to gather, to congregate. This was news to us, we being humble Guildwater Scribes, freshly emerged from the scriptorium, blinking blindly in a newly-found sunlight, proud greenhorns of the music industry.

Thayer Sarrano - Balcony TV

There, on the balcony of the Hardrock Café (Nashville), Thayer Sarrano offered her acoustic rendition of "Crease," back on September 21st. The video is just now seeing the light, officially released days ago, on November 30th. Bass, drums, keys -- these are all jettisoned for the moment, so as to better appreciate Thayer's clawhammer classical guitar technique, her sonorous voice, her attention to songcraft, and her versatility. Attention at the 2-minute 45-second mark when vocal texture changes up a velvet notch. Should you doubt us as to versatility, you need only follow this Balcony TV performance with the official video for "Crease," a video produced by Abel Klainbaum, in tandem with Thayer herself. Klainbaum has operated as a cinematographer at a variety of cable networks, including: Animal Planet, HBO, A&E, truTV, and TLC. The official video features Thayer's full rock outfit, notably with Seth Hendershot on drums, in the studio album version of the song. Many thanks to Balcony TV for providing us with this opportunity in comparative songsmithery.

October 13, 2015 (Tuesday) - A Special Bulletin from the Guildwater Group: "We nearly choked on our coffee (in the best sense) when we stumbled across this one, just the other day. Thanks to Matthew Unversaw and the other good DJs of WLFR 91.7 FM, out of Stockton, New Jersey. WLFR somehow managed to place the new eponymous album from Five Fingertips at the top of their CMJ 200 Chart for Issue #1412, late September. We didn't know such things were possible. But we are certainly grateful. Quite sincerely. Thank you, from both the Guildwater Group and Five Fingertips himself."
