THAYER SARRANO
(Reno, NV)

Thayer Sarrano - The Holland Project (Reno, NV)

February 19, 2019 (Tuesday) - There is no more fitting locale for the desert-hymns of Thayer Sarrano than Reno, Nevada. Sarrano offers her soundtrack, as spiritual humectant to climatical aridity, at the cultural oasis that is the Holland Project. Per its manifesto, this cultural center "is an all-ages arts and music initiative by young people, for young people. Holland strives to empower young people through access to music, art, diverse workshop opportunities, and community service and activism." As with those previous, tonight's festivities are in support of the illustrious Daniel Romano. Up next, it's time once again to mosey, to revisit the coastline -- San Francisco. Tomorrow, Thayer Sarrano plays The Chapel The only thing that could have been better for the Sarrano aesthetic than this string of consecutive shows would be if the The Chapel had itself been located in The Desert, and the sands of The Desert in The Chapel. Barring that unique combination of elements, this all still makes for a very fine Tuesday and Wednesday in her Tour of the West.

The Crêpe Place
(Santa Cruz, CA)

February 16, 2019 (Saturday) - Show-stopper. Show-stopover. Santa Cruz. California. Style. Thayer Sarrano plays the Crêpe Place, in support of Daniel Romano -- the "King of Mosey" and genres otherwise. Beyond Santa Cruz, next up, after some wilderness-trekking, via Yosemite National Park et alia, it's Nevada, where deserts abound, and The Holland Project -- a cultural center, in Reno. Accompanying Sarrano on this pre-album release -- Wings Alleluia, out March 29th -- musical excursion are Ted Kuhn, Master of Fine Arts and Michael Zimmerman. Arranged alphabetically, both of these gentlemen play bass and drums interchangeably, and with equal affinity, word has it. Those steeped in Sarrano Lore will recognize Kuhn from the Shaky Tour Europa (2016), when Sarrano rocked and dropped the mic from London to Berlin, from Vienna to Zürich, from San Sebastián to Paris. When memories fade, or you never knew to begin with, Archives serve their purpose.
